Dan Glickman 27 April 2005

Washington, D.C. -- Motion Picture Association of America President and CEO Dan Glickman praised President Bush for his signing of the Family Entertainment and Copyright Act into law today.

"I thank President Bush for his signature on the Family Entertainment and Copyright Act, and thank his entire administration, especially the Department of Justice's Intellectual Property Task Force and the Commerce Department, for taking the threat of movie piracy so seriously. This law says that the unauthorized recording of motion pictures in a motion picture exhibition facility is illegal, and those who are caught doing it can be imprisoned for up to three years."

!! Pirates beware !!
Stealing movies in a theater is now a federal felony.
