The Village Cinema The Proposal
Most if not all smaller towns and villages have a community hall or theatre of some sort. The use of these and their facilities vary considerably from place to place, but in cooperation with local authorities and other interested parties TALIS international will identify premises suitable for the exhibition of movies. Bearing in mind the premises will need to be licensed for this purpose it is most likely that suitable venues will be already in regular use and have fixed theatre-style seating. Having identified the venue, T.A.L.I.S International will install a digital projector, server, sound system and a large-as-possible cinema screen. Wherever possible the screen and loudspeakers should be fixed, but in some situations it may be possible to "fly" them to allow alternative use of the hall. In addition to the projector, M.A.P Device, Server and sound system the venue will be equipped with a computerised ticketing system. This equipment will be permanently linked to T.A.L.I.S International's offices by means of a broadband internet connection. The venue will sign a contract for T.A.L.I.S International to provide movies on a regular basis, with various options as to exactly how many days a week and weeks per month screenings take place. However, it is essential that venues are able to offer screening time on a fixed basis so that repeat and regular business can be generated. In order for us to obtain current movies each T.A.L.I.S International venue will show the same new film release as its main presentation. Presentations of older movies, or of films with less popular appeal, may be customised to individual locations although T.A.L.I.S International reserves the right to vary the terms for such screenings. |
